Widely considered the finest Star Trek series of the decade, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is officially returning to our screens. Paramount+ has dropped the trailer for the fourth season, confirming a July 23 premiere date in the U.S. Following the pattern of previous seasons, the upcoming chapter will consist of ten weekly episodes.
While fans have plenty to look forward to, there is bittersweet news on the horizon. It has been confirmed that the show will conclude with its fifth season. This final outing, expected to debut next year, will consist of six episodes, bringing the voyage of the Enterprise to a definitive end.
After some criticism regarding the experimental "special episodes" in Season 3, the Season 4 trailer suggests a welcome return to the classic "planet-of-the-week" sci-fi adventure format that defined the show's early success.
