The gaming world's favorite platforming icon is taking a bit longer to return to our screens. Ubisoft has officially announced that the highly anticipated Rayman Legends Retold, originally slated for an October 1st launch, has been delayed to December 3rd. This decision comes just weeks before the expected release, surprising many fans of the series.
Polishing the Masterpiece
According to Ubisoft, the game is essentially complete in terms of content, but the development team requires additional time to polish and refine the experience to meet their high standards. The company has promised to showcase the game again on September 22nd, providing fans with a deeper look at the improvements made during this extended development phase. The global gaming community remains eager to see how this classic title translates to modern platforms.
More Than Just a Remake
Revealed earlier this summer, Rayman Legends Retold is positioned as a complete reimagining rather than a standard remaster. It features entirely new gameplay mechanics and modernized 3D graphics, breathing new life into the 2013 classic. This marks the first entry in the main Rayman franchise in over 13 years. As Ubisoft continues to revisit its back catalog, fans are also keeping an eye on other major updates, such as the recent news that Ubisoft ends launcher hassle, making it easier than ever to enjoy their library on PC.
While the wait is slightly longer, the extra time will hopefully ensure that Rayman's big return is as polished and enjoyable as possible when it finally arrives this December.
