Lenovo has officially unveiled its latest entertainment-focused tablet, the Tab Plus Gen 2. Building on the unique legacy of its predecessor, this new iteration prioritizes high-fidelity sound while significantly boosting display quality and overall processing power.
An Immersive Sonic Experience
The centerpiece of the Tab Plus Gen 2 is its impressive nine-speaker JBL audio system. Enhanced with Dolby Atmos support, the device offers specialized sound profiles for music, movies, and dynamic content. A standout feature is its ability to function as a standalone Bluetooth speaker, allowing users to stream audio directly from their smartphones.
Display and Performance
The device sports a larger 12.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1600. Featuring Dolby Vision and HDR10 support, the display achieves a peak brightness of 800 nits, ensuring clarity even in bright environments. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 6GB to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, further expandable via a microSD slot for up to 2TB.
Battery Life and Longevity
Equipped with a robust 10,200 mAh battery, the Tab Plus Gen 2 is rated for up to 15 hours of video playback. While it supports 45W fast charging, please note that the charger is sold separately. Lenovo commits to long-term usability with a promise of two major Android OS updates (up to Android 18) and four years of security support.
